SPRINGFIELD, IL – Santos Aguilera, 85, passed away at 3:08 am on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Carlinville Rehab and Healthcare Center.

He was born June 9, 1937 in Teocaltiche, Jaliso, Mexico to Norberto and Maria (Alvarez) Aguilera. He married Marina Aguayo.

Santos worked as a brick mason before retirement. He was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish and Legion of Mary. He enjoyed bicycling, dancing and music.

He is survived by his wife, Marina; daughter, Juanita Boggs; and 4 grandchildren, Kenny, Miguel, Kenise and Olivia Boggs.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2022, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Sacred Heart Church with Reverend Kevin Mann officiating.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
