SPRINGFIELD – Sean Michael "Mike" Unland, 50, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Springfield on March 13, 1973. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Patricia Unland Glass; and grandparents, Harold and Doris Unland. He married Leanne Erwin on November 13, 2003 at Abundant Faith Church.

Mike was the owner and operator of Mike Unland Photography and Videography. He was also employed as a photographer and videographer with Dean Williams Photography. In addition to photography, Mike enjoyed rock painting and cherished time spent with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Leanne; children, Ashton Unland, Nathan Unland and Skye Erwin; grandchildren, Andrew, Kamryn, Gavynn and Antonyo; brother, Robert Malone; and several aunts, uncles and cousins, including aunt, Tammie (Mike) Milburn and uncle, Ron Unland.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2024, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be held March 24, 2024, at the Curve Inn. Times will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to Meal Train or care of Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
