DAWSON, IL – Seth J. "Snuffy" Smith, 75, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Memorial Medical Center.

He was born March 18, 1943, to Theodore and Golda Lee (Dennis) Smith. He married Marilyn Barlow on June 1, 1974, in Springfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dickey.

Snuffy was a US Navy veteran. He was a carpenter and a member of the Eagles Club in Riverton.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Barbara (David) Hamlin and Tonya Smith; grandchildren, Mikayla, Damon, Kelly, Dakota, and Mackie Lee; great-granddaughter, Salem; brother, Johnny Mac; sister, Lilla Boatright and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held from noon until 6 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019, at the Jailhouse Tavern, 125 Mayden Ave., Springfield, Illinois.
