SPRINGFIELD – Sharese Renee Watson, 39, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026, at her home.

She was born in Gary, Indiana on September 16, 1986, to Daron and Minnie (Benson) Watson. She married Louis Griffin in Chicago on May 17, 2019, and he survives.

She is also survived by her parents, Daron and Minnie Watson; grandmothers, Olivette Brodnax and Bell Taylor, in addition to other extended family members.

Sharese was a donor scheduler for Impact Life. She truly enjoyed being with her co-workers and talking with potential donors. She loved dogs, watching movies, and like her dad, she was a car lover.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Gifford officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family c/o Daron and Minnie Watson.
