SPRINGFIELD, IL – Sharon Darlene Hayes, 78, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born November 30, 1943, to Dale and Ann (Squires) Dolan. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Rodgerson; brother, Gene Dolan; and sister, Shirley Dolan.

Sharon retired from the State of Illinois. She was a member of West Side Christian Church and Red Hat Society. She enjoyed gardening, wine making and fishing.

She is survived by her children, David Hayes, Mark Hayes and Scott Hayes; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Delmar Dolan and Sharlene "Shar" Dolan (Gary Ramsey); companion, Wayne Ebelherr; and several nieces and nephews.

Private services were held.  A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
