SPRINGFIELD – Sharon S. Hott, 77, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 19, 1945 to Ralph and Gladys (Frick) Brown. She married Robert Hott, Jr., in Springfield, on February 18, 1967. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents, Ralph and Gladys Brown; step-mother, Rosetta Brown; and step-sister, Carol Martin.

Sharon was formerly employed by AIG (formerly Franklin Life) and Macy's (formerly Famous Barr). She was a member of West Side Christian Church and volunteered at St. John's Hospital. She was an avid shopper, especially enjoying antiquing. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and tending to her flowers.

She is survived by her children, Amy (Micah) Roderick, Andrew Hott and Adam (Kerstin) Hott; brother, Gerald (Betty) Brown; step-brother, Lowell (Dorothy) Mainer; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Cindy Lash officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
