SPRINGFIELD – Sharon McLaughlin, 87, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023, at her home.

She was born October 14, 1935, to Arthur and Charlene L. (Clark) Romack. She married Siebert D. McLaughlin on October 5, 1957 in Newton, Illinois. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Diane; and sisters, Judy and Sue.

Sharon retired from Franklin Life in 1996 after 30 years of service. She loved watching the Chicago Cubs, taking trips to Las Vegas and camping at Otter Lake. She was a member of the Eagles Club.

She is survived by her husband, Siebert; children, Donald (Diana) McLaughlin, Melon (Penny) McLaughlin and Pamela McLaughlin Lusk; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Kristin, Meagan, Brittney and Rachel; nine great-grandchildren, Dylan, Madelyn, Kenzie, Fayth, Brystol, Skylar, Cannon, Olivia and Wesley; brother, Chuck Romack; sister, Jane Crawford; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2023, Roselawn Memorial Park.
