Shirley M. Bates' Obituary
SPRINGFIELD, IL – Shirley M. Bates, 67, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018, at her home.
She was born September 24, 1951, to James A. and Geraldine F. (Williams) Barlow. She married Larry T. "Petey" Bates on November 2, 1973, at Third Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, two sisters and several aunts and uncles.
Shirley was employed by TKI/Spectrum Foods for 16 years. She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Larry T. "Petey" Bates; sisters, Marilyn Smith and Rosemary Farley; brother, Kenneth Barlow; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018, at Oak Ridge Cemetery.Funeral Services for Shirley M. Bates
