Shirley Mae (Tutt) Puckett, age 82, of Springfield, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

She was born on April 9, 1943, in Springfield, Illinois, to Roy F. and Gertrude Tutt. On June 19, 1965, she married Lawrence Puckett Sr., beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in love, family, and faith.

Throughout her life, Shirley faithfully served the Lord through her church involvement, always striving to live according to God's word. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering faith that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; one brother; her son, Phillip Puckett Sr., and a grandson.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Lawrence Puckett Sr.; her sons, Lawrence Puckett Jr. (Sherry) of Petersburg, Illinois, Steve Puckett (Dynean) of Danville, Illinois, Rick Puckett (Penny) of Springfield, Illinois, and Jeffrey Puckett (Deana) of Pawnee, Illinois; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A private family service will be held at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home on February 3, 2026. A private burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

While we mourn our loss, we take comfort in knowing that Shirley now rests in eternal peace in the presence of her Savior.
