RIVERTON – Stanley C. Reed, Jr., 78, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at his home.

He was born May 26, 1946 to Stanley C. and Irene C. (Paturczak) Reed, Sr.; both of whom preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by his canine companion, Smokey.

Stanley was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He retired from Chicago Local 2 Elevator Constructors Union after 20 years of service. He was passionate about handy work and enjoyed working on cars, trucks and his home. He loved his family and animals, especially dogs.

He is survived by his sons, Anthony F. Reed, Nicholas J. Reed and Joseph M. Reed; four grandchildren; and sister, Irene Padilla.

Per his request, cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned at this time.
