SPRINGFIELD, IL – Stanley L. Tanner, 75, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Memorial Hospice at Heritage.

He was born February 15, 1943, to Charles L. and Olive (Hillis) Tanner.

Stanley retired from C&IM Railroad and was a cabbie for many years. He was a pool shooter and enjoyed bowling.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Barbara) Tanner, Olive Smith and Amanda Tanner (Jeremy Brozio); several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Volz and several nieces and nephews.

Per Stanley's request no public services will be held. Private services may be held at a later date.
