SPRINGFIELD, IL – Steven F. Schlemm, 60, passed away Friday, December 13, 2019, at his home.

He was born November 26, 1959, to Forrest and Arlene (Montgomery) Schlemm. He married D. Glenna McAuley on October 5, 1989. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Delores Schlemm; grandparents; and brother, Gene Timmerman.

Steve was formerly employed by AT & T Customer Service Center and Mel-O-Cream Donuts International. He worked at HyVee for the past 5 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially while hiking and enjoying nature walks in Lincoln Memorial Gardens. He also enjoyed Viking mythology, watching British television and was a huge Star Trek fan.

He is survived by his wife, D. Glenna; son, Ian; brother, Matthew Schlemm; niece, Lisa; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2019, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. Private family burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
