SPRINGFIELD, IL – Tami L. Skaggs-Braidwood, 57, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born May 12, 1961, to Harold "Gene" and Phyllis (Hensley) Skaggs. She married Terry Braidwood on May 23, 1996, in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her father.

Tami was a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist for Killian and Associates. She attended Body of Christ Church. Tami's love for all living things enabled her to help everyone and never know a stranger.

She is survived by her husband, Terry; mother, Phyllis Skaggs; brother, Steve Skaggs and his daughter, Kelsie Silveus; Maine Coon cat, Muggsy and Shih Tzu, Tuffi.

Private family services will be held.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held from 2 until 5 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2019, at the Sandbar Tavern, 6111 Mechanicsburg Rd., Springfield.
