SPRINGFIELD - Thomas J. Compardo, age 59, from Springfield, IL passed away on August 25, 2023 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy L. and John Compardo, Jr.; daughter, Kimberly Compardo; brother, Michael A. Compardo and several aunts, uncles and friends.

He is survived by his son, Mark Jungers, and his wife, Danielle; his two grandchildren, Luke and Adalynn; sisters, Karen Blankenship, Barbara Compardo, Becky Hermes and Ginger Bricker; brothers, John (Sam) Compardo and James (Jay) Compardo;  and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, all of Springfield,  Arizona and California.

Tom graduated from Southeast High School and attended an Indiana Welding School.   He worked as a welder for many years at Napier Machine Shop. He was a self-taught mechanic and creative welding designer. He had many other talents and especially loved working on his Trans Am.

Funeral arrangements were provided by Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, Springfield, IL.

Inurnment will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery Columbarium with a short memorial service in the Mausoleum Chapel at 10:30 AM Thursday, October 19, 2023, officiated by Dan Stewart.  Private Family and Friends.
