SHERMAN, IL – Todd M. Brust, 52, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018, at his home.

If you knew Todd you were a lucky person. All you had to do was say Todd and everyone knew who you were talking about.

Todd was born April 21, 1965, and was an awesome big brother to his three siblings-Ernie Brust, Jr., John Brust, and little sissy, Shannon Flynn. Later came his two sisters, Jeannie White and Julie Giacomini. He was an amazing son to his Mom, Vicki Yeaman and he adored his late Dad, Tom Yeaman. He was an adoring Dad to Cassie Brust, Cory Brust and Dustin Asbrock. His grandkids will always love their PaPa.

Todd was an HVAC perfectionist. He enjoyed his trade, but he loved camping with his siblings and friends more than anything. But we can't talk about that - "What happens at the campground, stays at the campground."

Todd will always be remembered with love by those who knew him. He was a quiet soul who had a heart bigger than life itself. He will always be in our hearts and our family is lucky to have another guardian angel to keep watch over us.

No flowers are necessary, he can't smell them. Cards are appreciated, but not necessary, he can't read them. Honor him by praying for those who need a little boost, enjoy your loved ones while you can, toast him with a Miller Lite and enjoy life. Because if you were lucky enough to know Todd, you are lucky enough.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

We will have a small service from 4 until 6 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home to visit, share our thoughts, and thank God that we had this amazing person for 52 years. A gathering from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. will follow at the Firefighter's Lake Club, 940 W. Lake Shore Dr., Springfield. Sleep well, Todd. We love you.
