With deep sadness, we announce the untimely passing of Trey Michael Kellogg, whose life was taken in a tragic incident through circumstances outside of his control. Though his departure came far too soon, we find comfort in knowing he is now held in the peace and presence of the Lord.

Throughout his life, Trey Michael Kellogg was known for his deep love and unwavering devotion to his family. As a son and grandson, he honored his mother, Jamie (Brandon) Landsverk; father, Chad Kellogg (called to God); stepfather, Randall Otrembiak; paternal grandfather, George Kellogg; paternal grandmother, Chris Kellogg; maternal grandfather, Richard Harnden (called to God); and maternal grandmother, Cindy Bonato with a gentle, loving heart. He carried their guidance with him throughout his life, and his family felt the love and honor he held for them in countless, quiet ways. His kindness, humility, and willingness to help were reflections of the values they instilled in him.

As a brother, Trey Michael shared a warmth and spirit that brought light into the lives of his siblings, Jordan Otrembiak, Josh (Hunter) Otrembiak, Andrew (Destany) Otrembiak, Téa Landsverk, Elijah Landsverk, Karly Kellogg, Natalie Kellogg, Clay Kellogg, Cody Pries, and Lexi Novak, always showing up with encouragement, compassion, and a listening ear. He filled their days with laughter, kinship, and the kind of closeness that only family can hold. The bond they shared was woven with love, gentle moments, and memories that will forever rest softly in their hearts. His presence was a gift, and the love he gave them remains an enduring part of their story.

As a father, he was a loving, patient, and dependable guide. His children and stepchildren, Clara Kellogg, Ella Hinton, Kelsey Kellogg, Allie Kellogg, Kaitlyn Kellogg, Rory Kellogg, Avalyn Kellogg, Trey Kellogg Jr., Bryleigh Hudson, Grace Meyer, Casey Meyer, and Skylar Meyer were the joy of his life. He cared for them with a tender heart and his love for them was always evident. He showed them affection in ways that were meaningful to him, creating memories and moments they will forever cherish. His love continues to live on in them.

As a husband, Trey Michael cherished the role he held in his marriage to Hannah Kellogg. He approached their life together with sincerity, commitment, and a desire to build a home rooted in faith. Trey offered steadiness, compassion, and a giving spirit, qualities that reflected the heart he brought into every relationship in his life.

Above all, Trey Michael loved his family fiercely and selflessly. The legacy he leaves behind is one of kindness, faithfulness, and a heart that loved as Christ calls us to love.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Trey's memory to consider a gift made in his name to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services at dcfs.illinois.gov, to plant a living tribute through the Arbor Day Foundation, or to name a memorial star through star-naming.com so that a light may shine for him in the heavens. Each gesture is a tender way to let his spirit continue touching the world.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, when all who loved Trey may gather to share stories, offer prayers, and honor the beautiful imprint he leaves on our hearts.
