WITT, IL – Vera E. Altevogt, 95, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018, at Nokomis Rehab & Health Care Center.

She was born July 8, 1922, to Timothy and Bertha (Stout) Stark.

Vera worked as a cook at Illinois Presbyterian Home and Oak Terrace Care Center.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Diana) Altevogt, Florence (Joe) Stevenson, Keith (Judy) Altevogt, Gus (Barb) Altevogt and Martha Wiker; grandchildren, Kim, Keri, Karalyn, Keith, Barbara, Vera, Carol, Sandra, Brenda, Jim, David, Tanya, Teri, Brian, John, Wanda, Jo Etta, Larry, Shannon, Sherry, and Shane; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation and Funeral Service: 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home, with Reverend Ron Waltrip officiating. Private inurnment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
