Paul Miles, 89, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 27, 1934 to William Irvin and Stella (Gibbs) Miles, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Sandra Kay Mayberry on September 26, 1964, in Springfield.

Paul retired from Allis-Chalmers/Fiat Allis after 33 years of service as a Design Engineer. He was a tinkerer and avid fisherman who especially enjoyed fishing with his sons. He enjoyed building and flying RC airplanes and was a member of RC Flyers Club.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy; sons, Mike (Michelle) Miles and Scott Miles (Breanne Larson), all of Springfield; and grandchildren, Jack Miles and Natalie Miles, both of Springfield and Madison Miles and Braden Larson, both of Rochester.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2023, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home.
