SPRINGFIELD – William "Bill" L. Bunch, 83, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Villa East in Sherman.

He was born February 27, 1940 to Robert and Goldie Painter Bunch. He was married to Mildred "Millie" Taylor for 48 years. She passed away December 30, 2010. He also was preceded in death by his son, Robert E. Watts; brothers, Robert Bunch Jr., Charles Bunch and Henry "Bud" Bunch; and sisters, Dorothy Smith, Betty Brown, Marge Lane and Evelyn Ruth Bunch.

Bill served in the United States Marine Corp from 1961 to 1964.  He was most recently employed as manager of Standard Oil for 12 years.

He is survived by his children, Henry E. Bunch and Evelyn R. (Andre) Kroenlein; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Clyde (Ruth) Bunch and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors rendered by the Inter-Veterans Burial Detail and Department of Defense – Marine Corps.
