SPRINGFIELD – William (Bill) Hansen, 92, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024 at his residence.

He was born January 4, 1932 In Brooklyn, New York to Frederick and Mabel (Weidmann) Hansen. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Fred Hansen, John Hansen, Ed Hansen and Henry Hansen.

Bill was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Capital Bank for 23 years, retiring in 1990.

He is survived by his children, Debra Heckenkamp, Kenneth (Susan) Hansen, and Laura (Rob) Sampson; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
